USk London show opens in Mile End

One my two drawings in the show: St George’s Gardens, Bloomsbury.

It’s good to finally have some work on display again. I have a couple of drawings in the Urban Sketchers London group show in Mile End Park, London E3 from 22-30 March 2025.

The show will consist of more than 300 drawings done on location by locals and visitors to London. There’s an array of hands-on sketchwalks, drawing activities and other events going on around the exhibition during that time: find out more at the USk London website below.

Copies of my new book Sketchbook Reveal, published by Sketcher Press, will be on sale (I’ll sign your copy if I can), along with copies of London by Urban Sketchers, which includes works by 100 artists and a foreword by me. My drawings will be on sale too.

I’m not as involved with USk London as I used to be. I helped set it up and played an active role in its running for several years, and I was happy when others took it on. But I still feel part of the wide community that USk has become. Through it, I have drawing friends around the world, quite literally, and not just online friends. They are real people I have drawn and laughed and shared sketchbooks with. There will be more of this going on during the exhibition. It’s great to still be associated with this group.

The Urban Sketchers London group show is at the Art Pavilion, Mile End Park, London E3 from 22-30 March 2025. Open daily 11am-6pm (3pm on 30 March). Find out more at urbansketcherslondon.co.uk.
